Do tattoo studios need a risk assessment?
Yes. Under the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and the COSHH Regulations 2002, you must assess and control risks - and an EHO may ask to see your written assessment. The biggest hazards in a studio are bloodborne viruses and sharps.
